happy summer (one week early. because i can’t wait. because i’m a child like that.)

you’ll never catch me complaining about the heat. i don’t care if it’s 90 degrees and humid. i love summer. it’s the weight of winter i loathe with every bone in my body. but summer puts a spring in my step and lightens my spirit. the warmth of my skin, longer hours of daylight and ease of summer clothes all make me feel like doing a round of motherfucking cartwheels.

so much so, i made a word cloud about all the things i love about summer. so check me out and make sure to tell me how impressed you are with my mad technical/graphics skillz in the comments. yes, i’m joking. of course i realize it doesn’t get anymore amateurish than this. still, it’s about summer so it sure as shit rocks! and it’s an easy read. you’re welcome.

I grew up 3 blocks from the beach. We never wore shoes all summer. Shoes were for woosies who couldn’t handle the occasional splinter from the broken up wooden boardwalk. It was only a problem those first few weeks. By midsummer your feet were calloused and hard like shoe leather. Fireworks were every Wednesday out over the water. We never missed it. My sisters and I would have a name for each pyrotechnic design…we would shout, “spaghetti or sunflower,” as the sky lit up. Those were some good times.

I might love summer if I didn’t live somewhere where the hot weather starts in March and swelters until November or December. It should be nowhere near 80 on Thanksgiving or Christmas, but here in South Texas we get both, more often than not. Love the word cloud, though! Mad skills, girl! :)

I love it, too! I’d rather be hot than cold- and I feel more frisky and energetic in the summer (if you know what I mean!). Plus, your ART is awesome. You should print and frame that, dude.

    Hi, dollface.

I need you to make me one of these shits with the phrases: “hot as fuck”, “sweaty folds”, “Gold Bond Medicated Powder”, “my ass smells like ass”, “boobsweat”, “bacne”, “fattyfatty 2×4″, and “it’s not the heat, it’s the diarrhea”.

Thanks a mil. Love you madly.

I want to summon one of these word clouds to drift pleasantly over my head as I walk around town so everyone can see what the hell I’m thinking about.
I’d also like a cartoon bubble to appear with a question mark when I’m confused and BAM! POW! when I’m beating the shit out of people while keeping the world safe.

Why we are not mother-fucking BFF’s is beyond me! Winter makes me all pissy and stabby. Summer = YAH! I’ll take a little boob sweat over having my ovaries feeze and fall out of my body, rolling down the sidewalk like marbles. Who cares if it’s heller hot here and my hair is frizzy. It’s summer! There’s fireflies and cold beer on the patio and sunsets and hot bikers with no shirts on. Life is good. heading out in a few days to spend a week enjoying summer in a few other states. But I WILL be checking in, so keep writing! Love you hard.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I am sitting here, and it is 3:35 am, and this somehow made me cry.

I would love to be able to wear a sundress soon. I am very self-conscious of my arms… You know what makes summer kind of suck? Work. Having to work. *sigh*

There isn’t anything better than a warm summer nights motorcycle ride down a firefly dappled country road. (other than getting home and making that mojito using fresh mint from the garden!)

I love this! I’m all about the summer heat and humidity, too. You should make a t-shirt out of it! But add bikinis, too. ;)

And SUNDRESSES! Yeah for sundresses! One can never have too many. I need more, actually. This weekend I’ll be at a concert in the park, wearing a sundress! :) It’s a Billy Joel and Elton John tribute band (I realize I’ve just dated myself *sigh*) and it’s FREE!

You just reminded me that I need to buy the industrial strength family sized vat of frizz ease to tide me over during those especially humid spells.

And as usual I totally agree with you. I’m cold all winter long. I hate it. Not sure why I live in the Northeast, but I guess I’m stuck here. Maybe the cold makes me appreciate summer that much more.

We read a comment of yours on our latest podcast and gave you some props. Just an FYI.

Well, not really summer, just the whole ‘swimming suit’ in public, and having to keep the old downstairs beaverage trimmed
One day, when I wake up skinny, I’m going to love the shit out of it
